Sodium Based Products

Sodium is a reactive element  is never found free in nature. Sodium is a soft, bright, silvery metal which floats on water. Decomposition in water results in the evolution of hydrogen and the formation of the hydroxide. It may or may not ignite spontaneously on water depending on the amount of oxide and metal exposed to the water.
Sodium Based Products

Tri Sodium Phosphate

We manufacture and offer our clients with tri sodium phosphate & tetra sodium pyro phosphate ( TSPP) that is used in detergents. Owing to its superior features, these products are used for softening water, removing soils and for keeping soil from redepositing.

Sodium bisulfate

Sodium bisulfate is used primarily to lower pH. For technical-grade applications, it is used in metal finishing, cleaning products, and to lower the pH of water for effective chlorination, including swimming pools. Sodium bisulfate is also AAFCO approved as a general-use feed additive, including companion animal food. It is used as a urine acidifier to reduce urinary stones in cats.

In jewelry making, sodium bisulfate is the primary ingredient used in many pickling solutions to remove the oxidation layer from surfaces, which occurs after heating.[1]

Sodium citrate

Sodium Citrate is sometimes used as an emulsifier for oils when making cheese. Sodium citrate allows the cheeses to melt without becoming greasy. Consider the following quote from

sodium hypo chlorite sol 6

The properties of household bleach that make it effective for removing stains also result in cumulative damage to organic fibers, such as cotton, and the useful lifespan of these materials will be shortened with regular bleaching. The sodium hydroxide (NaOH) that is also found in household bleach (as noted later) causes fiber degradation as well. It is not volatile, and residual amounts of NaOH not rinsed out will continue slowly degrading organic fibers in the presence of humidity.

Sodium Acetate

Sodium acetate can be used to form an ester with an alkyl halide such as bromoethane:

CH3COONa + BrCH2CH3 → CH3COOCH2CH3 + NaBr

Caesium salts catalyze this reaction.

SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE 10 - 12

Chemical and Physical Properties:
Colour: yellowish solution.which may contain small amounts of precipitate
Chlorine content: 10 - 12.5 % m/v
Alkalinity: 1.0 - 2.5 m/v (as NaOH)
SG @ 20 deg C: 1.20 maximum

Completely soluble in water.
Sodium hypochlorite at high concentrations is unstable and deteriorates with exposures to heat and UV light.

Product should be diluted asap to at least 6 % to improve stability.
Shelf life at 12.5 % is approximately 3 - 5 days

Sodium formate

Sodium formate, HCOONa, is the sodium salt of formic acid, HCOOH. It usually appears as a white deliquescent powder.

Sodium nitrate

Sodium nitrate can be used in the production of nitric acid by combining it with sulfuric acid and subsequent separation through fractional distillation of the nitric acid, leaving behind a residue of sodium bisulfate. Hobbyist gold refiners use sodium nitrate to make a hybrid aqua regia that dissolves gold and other metals.

Sodium nitrate

Sodium oxalate

Sodium oxalate is used to standardize potassium permanganate solutions. It is desirable that the temperature of the titration mixture is greater than 60 °C to ensure that all the permanganate added reacts quickly. The kinetics of the reaction is complex, and the manganate(II) ions formed catalyze the further reaction between permanganate and oxalic acid (formed in situ by the addition of excess sulfuric acid). The final equation is as follows:

Monosodium phosphate

Monosodium phosphate (NaH2PO4), also known as anhydrous monobasic sodium phosphate and sodium dihydrogen phosphate, is a chemical compound of sodium with a phosphate counterion. It is used as a laxative and, in combination with other sodium phosphates, as a pH buffer.

Monosodium phosphate

Trisodium phosphate

The major use for trisodium phosphate is in cleaning agents. The pH of a 1% solution is 12, and the solution is sufficiently alkaline to saponify grease and oils. In combination with surfactants, TSP is an excellent agent for cleaning everything from laundry to concrete driveways.

Trisodium phosphate

Sodium sesquicarbonate

Sodium sesquicarbonate is used in bath salts, swimming pools, as an alkalinity source for water treatment, and as a Phosphate free Trisodium phosphate replacement for heavy duty cleaning.

Sodium Xylene Sulphonate

Sodium xylene sulfonate is an effective coupling/hydrotrope for water solutions of various surfactants and hydrophylic solvents.Sodium xylene sulfonate is used in liquid detergent. They are effective in promoting the compatibility of various ingredients present in a multi-component system. It is used as an electroplating bath additive and as viscosity reducer for concentrated liquid detergent and as solubilizer and cloud point depressor. SXS (Sodium Xylene Sulfonate) is commonly used as a hydrotrope.
